Our professionally planned and conducted handpan beginners' workshop is not only well-known and popular throughout Germany, but also attracts participants from all over the world to Süßen. Under the expert guidance of Kate and Rafael, two experienced and passionate handpan artists, you will be guided through the workshop. It doesn't matter whether you are an absolute beginner or already have some experience with the instrument - the Opsilon Handpan Workshop is designed to meet each participant where they are. Step by step, you will be introduced to the art of handpan playing: from the first touch techniques and the creation of harmonious melodies to free playing and improvisation.

And the best thing about it: if you fall in love with the instrument, Opsilon Instruments will not only offer you the opportunity to purchase a handpan directly on site, but will also provide you with comprehensive advice on care, quality and the various tunings of the instrument. By combining theory and practice, you will leave the workshop not only with new inspiration and musical skills, but also with a deep understanding of the handpan and its fascinating history.

This is what our handpan workshops are all about:

Handpans will be provided for the workshop. This means that each participant will receive a handpan, which can then be exchanged. Participation also includes the option to buy or rent a handpan. Keep in mind that there is a waiting list of at least 2 to 3 months for an Opsilon handpan. The workshop is the opportunity to buy an Opsilon Handpan. Our handpan workshop is aimed at anyone who wants to learn how to play this fascinating instrument. Once you have found your instrument at the workshop, you can take it home with you.
